What is a Beer Run for Fun

A Beer Run for Fun is exactly how it sounds! It’s a foot run or walk with a collective distance of two miles down Traverse City’s beautiful TART Trail. The run will also give you the opportunity to explore two of Traverse City’s delicious breweries: The Filling Station Microbrewery and Right Brain Brewery. 50% of admission ticket proceeds and $1 of every beer purchased at The Filling Station will be donated back to the TART trails to help support its beauty for many years to come. Runners will also recieve 25% of select pizzas and a chance to win a $20 gift card through raffle from the Filling Station. Participants for this run will meet at The Filling Station where they can check-in, grab a beer, and relax until the run. Upon the start of the run we will gather at the starting area of the brewery and make a quick announcement to all participants. After 1 mile down the scenic TART Trail you will arrive at Right Brain Brewery will be donating a $15 gift card for a raffle and $4 pints of their IPA’s and Signatures, on their hand-crafted brews. Once we are finished we will meet outside where we will take another 1 mile run (or walk) down the TART Trail back to The Filling Station where participants can continue to enjoy some beers, eat pizza and enjoy some great live music for a great cause!

ABOUT THE CREATOR

Hello, my name’s Anthony Ruggirello and I’m a recent graduate of Central Michigan University. I graduated with a major in Commercial Recreation and Event Management with a minor in Marketing. Since I have lived in the Traverse City area my whole life I really have a passion for the outdoors. I have been hunting, fishing, canoeing, biking, and enjoying the outdoors with my family for as long as I can remember. My internship experiences at Boyne Mountain and Kayak, Bike, and Brew have been a great learning experience and have given me some really good insight of how the recreation and event world works. My goal of this event is to help get people outside and enjoying Traverse City’s scenic trails and awesome breweries while being able to give back to the T.A.R.T Trail to help maintain it for years to come. In the future I hope to continue working in the recreational field dealing with things such as event management/ coordinating, working with tourist, and promotional work.
